The YOVEHLA Award for Hearing Heart Humanitarianism is a celebration of excellence. The Yovehla Award is to become a very prestigious and coveted award in the Green Movement. It is awarded to those who, during the preceding year, have distinguished themselves by conferring a great humanitarian benefit upon the underserved and in doing so has encouraged and inspired their peer who also serve in the interests of humanity.
This distinction will be annually bestowed upon individuals in the following categories:
- Hunger Relief- Chef’s and food justice advocates who create innovative ways to “feed the people”
- Education – Teachers, trainers and coaches – from a perspective that Children should be taught in a way that allows them to fall in love with the natural world( Children will inevitably take care of a world that they have fallen in love with)
- Environmental Innovation- Changing the way we see and interact with planetary restoration (the improvement of our earth’s living systems)
- Regenerative Agriculture – reclaiming our soils, restoring nutrition to our foods and our communities.
- Art (which includes but is not limited to: performance art, music, dance, fashion and literary art etc.) using Art as a healing tool.
- Medicine – innovative regenerative wellness and Mental Health efforts- Natural innovative healers.
- Urban Transformation – Raising the standard for uplifting lives while improving or greening a city.
A Hearing Heart Humanitarian is a consummate servant to humanity. He or She understands without explanation; they actively engage in promoting human welfare and social reforms, and has no prejudice with human suffering on grounds of gender, sexual orientation, religious, or national divisions. This humanitarian’s goal is to save lives, relieve suffering, and maintain human dignity.
To “Hear” in it’s greater interpretation means to Understand. To demonstrate the appropriate wisdom as it applies to certain needs.
The sole purpose of humanitarian activities and assistance is for the relief and prevention of suffering caused by crisis. This means that a true Humanitarian responds in a manner that is not influenced by political, economic, or military objectives.
